I’ve been on the hunt for an amazing leather tote all summer. I’ve been traveling a lot and the need for it grew and grew. I checked out so many…Madewell, JCrew, Etsy, and a few others. They are all amazing….but this one takes the cake on first sight. I saw it on Pinterest and I went directly to the site. I watched all the videos offered, looked into the tanning process, and bought it a week later when I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

The minute I opened the box, the beautiful leather smell sold me. I absolutely love the color of the leather, a deeper brown than I anticipated, but very beautiful. The Whipping Post logo is understated which is what I really wanted and the size was quite big, fitting everything I have into one convenient bag.

It’s been quite  awhile since I’ve done an outfit post! Since it’s so hot, I’ve just been living in my denim shorts and rotation of awesome Madewell white tees. Today there was no humidity when I woke up, the first I’ve seen this summer. I took advantage of it and got Amine out to Brook Run Park for this shoot when the sun started to set. He was quite enthusiastic since he’s learning about photography and he wanted to practice with the composition, lighting, and manual settings.

Back to the outfit! This portrait session is in this tulle skirt from Space46Boutique. They’ve only launched this past year, but have been a huge hit all over the blogosphere. I saw it on Wendy from Wendy’s Lookbook first, and thought that it was just phenomenal. It goes with so many different things, and can be styled in so many ways. I’ve worn it to a artistic Southern California wedding with an American Apparel black long sleeve bodysuit, I’ve worn it with a white tee shirt, and here, with a vintage bra crop top I found at Rag O Rama.

I’m in love with these white shoes right now. I found them at Nordstrom Rack, and have gotten a million compliments on them. Love that it goes with pretty much everything, including my work outfits.

The Diane von Furstenburg “zarita” dress is one of the most popular dresses this season. It’s super comfortable, fits beautifully, and always gets tons of attention whenever I wear it out. The lace is just lovely and intricate, and the length of the sleeves are just perfect. The boat neckline lined with the delicate lace is also another detail i love.  It cost me a pretty penny, so I plan on wearing it pretty much whenever I can!

a special thanks to Megan, one of the girls at the party for grabbing my camera and taking these pictures for me. Otherwise, I would have nothing to show for! 😉

and yes, as soon as my hands were free, I was double fisting cocktails.

The skies were stunning today from the looming rain clouds. I had a photoshoot planned for the day in Orange, but it was postponed due to the rain. From my building, I could see the beautiful sky, so when the sun came out and the rains ceased for a bit, we took advantage of it and ran up to the rooftop of a nearby building, and got these shots in. We were limited on time as we were not approved to be there, so we snapped a few pics with the clouds and ran.

Here are some pictures I got friends to take of me in Atlanta. I bought a gorgeous mustard colored sweater when I arrived, and it pairs really well with pretty much everything I brought with me. We hiked up Kennesaw Mountain so it was a little too hot for the sweater on the way up. But on the way down, it got a bit more chilly when the sun was about to set, so the sweater went back on!

I haven’t done an outfit post in awhile. My closet has been purged, sifted through, cleaned and revamped for fall. Here are some of my favorites for the California transition from summer to fall [a cool 80 degrees this Sunday].

24 hour fitness decided to do a disco 70s night zumba for Girls Night Out. I photographed and blogged about 80s night a few months ago and it was a hit. This time, it wasn’t as crowded since it was a Friday night, but a lot of us dressed up nonetheless and rocked it! The themes are pretty fun since everyone gets into the spirit, and we even zumba to disco music! I found this awesome vintage top for $5, which I’m stoked about since I can wear it to samba nights as well! Sunnies are from Forever 21. Terence, Joann, and Toni were nice enough to take my camera and photograph me with my buddies at the event so a big thank you and photo credit to them!
