I’ve been bored with the traditional fragrances made for women lately.  Diptyque is one of my favorites for mens cologne, and my next purchase will probably be one of their scents.  I also love the fact that a lot of their scents can be unisex, so a steal here and there is possible.  However, this Ferragamo Pour Homme is already in my collection, and I have been obsessed with it lately. It’s very clean, sophisticated, and actually works with my base lotion. There is also something very sweet and sexy about wearing whatever scent your special guy normally sports too. 😉

On that note, I also wanted to ask your opinion on make up removers. I wear eyeliner everyday, so I use eye makeup remover every night. I’ve been a loyal customer of L’Occitane’s Milk Demaquillant and Lancome’s Bi-Facil but L’occitane discontinued theirs and $27 is a lot for just 4 ounces of remover. I’m on the hunt for the next best thing for the best price, preferably under $20. I just got Just Release Me from Philosophy, and it is still quite oily although they toot the fact that it is oil-free.  If you have suggestions, please let me know!!!

I’ve been collecting photobooth accessories for awhile now. I like taking them to parties and getting everyone to loosen up and get in the spirit. My collection is growing because people will see that I have a photobooth, and some have contributed hats and wigs! I love seeing what people come up with!

After the shoot, we went to sushi for dinner because I was craving it like no other.  I didn’t plan on taking any more photos, but this moment is just too cute.  We had our own booth so Ava wasn’t being distracted by everything else in the restaurant. She was more focused on her food, and particularly on how we were all using our chopsticks.  Ava is no stranger to chopsticks. Mom and Dad both use chopsticks like a pro for many of their meals and she gets to try everything they eat [best way to get a child to taste everything].  She hasn’t quite figured out how to use them yet, but daddy is helping her. She watches him intently, tastes the food with the pro food critic face, and then tries to use the chopsticks herself.

yummy daddy! more please!

oh ok…TWO hands

man, this is hard

this doesn’t feel right…

 ahhhh well, play time!

Ava just turned 2!!! She is super energetic and full of life, but starting the terrible twos tantrums. We decided to channel all her energy to all the fun things the Anti-Mall had to offer. I didn’t know the alley had this awesome hopscotch drawn on the pavement, but as soon as Ava saw it, she just took off running. I hopscotched with her [me running, her following], and it nearly knocked me out after the 20th time, but it was so worth the exercise. I got some great pics with the sun peeking through as it sets.

I got to photograph one of my favorite little munchkins this last week. Her dad rarely gets to be in pictures because he is always the one taking the pictures, and when he isn’t, he’s working. Her mom asked to have a more father daughter session this time, and it worked out wonderfully. Ava’s dad is a 4th grade teacher, so he was off for the summer, therefore spending more quality time with his daughter. They have become so close since he’s been home full time, and you can definitely see the father daughter love here!

We redeemed a gift from Leanne way back from Christmas. We took a boat cruise out on the harbor, and brought some nice champagne, wine, beers and cheese. Talks of travels, friendships, and the future….

[these were mostly taken by Paul Sargeant of Sargeant Photography, edited by me…it’s hard being the only boy on the boat! hahaha]

24 hour fitness decided to do a disco 70s night zumba for Girls Night Out. I photographed and blogged about 80s night a few months ago and it was a hit. This time, it wasn’t as crowded since it was a Friday night, but a lot of us dressed up nonetheless and rocked it! The themes are pretty fun since everyone gets into the spirit, and we even zumba to disco music! I found this awesome vintage top for $5, which I’m stoked about since I can wear it to samba nights as well! Sunnies are from Forever 21. Terence, Joann, and Toni were nice enough to take my camera and photograph me with my buddies at the event so a big thank you and photo credit to them!
