I also picked up the faux leather sea green Members Only jacket. It’s half sleeve so it isn’t too heavy for California weather. I’m still undecided on whether to keep it since I love the classic look so much. What do you think? Keep or return?

The denim jacket craze isn’t over yet, but Members Only apparel is taking stores by storm as well. I remember all my uncles wearing these awesome jackets back in the 80s so I had to grab my share of it…and one for dad for Father’s Day too! I can’t wait to see how it looks on him and get a flashback to the 80s! … Maybe I’ll get one for mom too..

Giorgia turned 11 this last weekend, and her momma threw her a fabulous party after a day of trampolining at Sky High Sports. The kids were so hyper and happy the whole day, and I got to capture the fun. I grabbed some of my rice picker hats, some leis, boas, and gigantic sunglasses … and headed over to play with the kids. The minute I got there, they were curious to see what was in my huge brown bag. They squealed and ran all over with excitement with all the toys, put them all over themselves, and then posed willingly for pictures.

Although the coupling has changed somewhat, they were just as outgoing, fun, and lively as the first time I met them, and they even brought along some new friends.

We met up for lunch at San Pedro Fish Market. The seafood there is really fresh and delicious. After lunch, the kids were promised some sort of dessert so we walked to the candy store down the way. They each picked something they loved [Fun Dip and chocolate], but I saw some awesome lollipops and I had to get them for a mini photo session. Poor mommy Tamara got the repercussions of the clean up process on little Hammoudi.

I’ve known the Mourad family since I was 18 years old. I’m now almost 30. That’s a long ass time. Ali and Tamara are the most amazing people, and I am so lucky to see their family grow. Their kids are just as amazing, so vibrant, full of personality and childhood innocence. They are back in California for the summer visiting family and friends, and I got the opportunity to spend the day with everyone at the San Pedro Fish Market, and then relaxing at Bella Terra Huntington Beach. It was meant to be a fun outing, not a photoshoot, but the light was so beautiful, and I found lollipops at the candy store, and ummm, they are just too darn cute.
